Google shared calendar not updating
If you rely on mobility and your calendar a lot, this is going to be a very huge issue. It’s entirely possible that you switched off Calendars when setting up the Gmail account (intentionally or accidentally). Also, after turning it on, quit and re-open the Calendar app.
After the “demise” of a way for apps to use “push” in i OS 7, apps like Gmail have to rely on Manual refresh or something called “Fetch”. The Fetch/Push settings seem to work for Calendar events too.
